Cheers was acquired from my friend Hester Cowan of Lochbrae Goldens in 1987. She had a wonderful background of very successful obedience and field dogs.  Cheers was a well put together, small, stocky little red bundle of determination and drive, but one of the most loving little Goldens I have owned.  She could crawl into your lap and be content to stay there all evening.  She was a driven hunter of any small game, including squirrels.  One day when we were out for a run, she never broke stride when a squirrel ran across her path, whereas she grabbed it, shook it, threw it in the air and kept right on going!

Cheers whelped five litters of Wynwood puppies consisting of 5 Obedience Trial Champions (OTCh).  Many of her offspring also earned other working titles of CD, CDX, UDX, field and agility titles,  along with winning and placing at obedience tournaments.  Cheers bred to OTCh Wynwoods Thrill Of It All UDX, JH, OBHF, OS produced AFTCH, MHR Wynwoods Jokers Are Wild MNH, CD, WCX, Can CDX, MH,WCX.  Joker was owned by Jill Richardson of Beamsville, Ontario.  Jill purchased Joker as an obedience competitor and he was very successful earning titles and high in trials, before Jill got ‘bitten’ by the field bug and her interest turned to running field trials.  Joker put his heart into Jill’s desires and competed with the forever winning Labrador Retrievers, doing an admirable job and earning his AFTCH title.
